    Romans 1:18-23

    A.We replace God

        1.We replace God with some other god

        2.We reduce God into another image

    B.We develop idols in our heart

        1.We love something more than God

        2.We trust in something more than God

        3.We serve something other than God

    Romans 1:25

    C.Three questions we need to ask to find out what our idols are

        1.What occupies my mind?

        2.How do you spend your money?

        3.What is it that prompts a strong emotional response?

                                                                                      We can be weaned from our idols by recognizing that they don't deliver what                                                                                       they promise

                                                                                          1. You need a real true relationship with the living God

                                                                                          2. You need to allow God to recapture your heart
